London

So...apart from the stag-do, my five days in London consisted mainly of going to lots of restaurants with friends! The weather was fantastic, which was conducive to being outdoors.

My first night in London a small group of us went Boxwood Cafe, one of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants in very posh Knightsbridge (where Harrod's and Harvey Nic's are). OK maybe I've had my head in the sand for a while (of course it wasin the sand...I mean I managed to be in Europe but miss Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, Robbie Wiliams and Madonna perform at their respective concerts) but I'd never heard of Gordon Ramsay. Never mind, the restaurant was very nice and the food superb!

There are a few of you that I know are going to London soon, so perhaps you might want to check out this place as it's definitely worth it.

After London, I went up to Edinburgh via a night in York. I stayed with relatives in Edinbugh before and after the wedding, which was in Glasgow. My cousin has two little girls who are very sweet.

Sorry but you're gonna have to wait a bit longer to see photos of me in a kilt!

Amy at the Boxwood Cafe (a friend from uni days, who's now a hot-shot lawyer in London)

Audrey (who had her London flat taken over by four guys, myself included, for a weekend) and Mike (who's wedding I was best man at the following weekend)

Me & Peter (another schoolfriend: we also hung out in Stockholm a couple of weeks later)

By the way, the goatee was just spontaneous thing that lasted a weekend. I have enough trouble at airports because of my looks even without the goatee!

The sweets that accompanied our coffees after eating three courses!

Arianne-Rose, my cousin's elder daughter (they're both like nieces to me). Half-English, Half-Persian and speaks both languages plus Russian (her grandmother is part-Russian). We weren't keen on the headkerchief though...

Carmelia, my cousin's younger daughter. Very cute (especially with the plaits) and blonde. Doesn't speak any English but speaks Persian like it's nobody's business...
